Sigma Phi and Omega SPARKS cleans community garden

Montgomery, AL- The event was held in the community of Montgomery, Alabama where a garden is maintained by the community. The brother of Sigma Phi chapter along with the young men of Manhood, INC mentoring program assisted in cleaning and preparing the garden for the next crop. The garden was created when a family decided to donate the land to the community for the neighborhood to come together and manage the garden. The citizens of the community are welcomed to collard greens, corn, okra, tomatoes, squash and peas free of charge however donations are welcomed. The brothers of Sigma Phi foreseen this event as a way to teach and show the young men about coming together for the good of the community.

Brothers James Lovejoy and Robert Thomas should be commended for their efforts with the young men of Manhood, INC.
